Walk run up Üetliberg

Wow the love affair between running and me has turned serious today. The beautiful autumn day was the perfect opportunity to try to break my record. So I combined the record attempt with a nice hill workout by doing some running intervals. Üetliberg is fairly steep and the ascent is 1000 feet so it was tough. On average I did 40 second jogging sessions followed by walking long enough to stop my heart hammering at 88% or more. It was so much fun. It simply didn't occur to me that I'd like running uphill but in such a nice forest with all the foliage and the blue sky it was just such a privilege to be there, to have a healthy body that could do this and have so much fun. I never really thought about trail running but I had so much fun today that I'll definitely take it up. Running down was hard on certain muscles but I just had a smile all over my face flying down there and I was in flow, highly concentrated not to trip but also enjoying the wind and how good my body felt.
So here are the stats:
54 min up
26 min down

The next goal is to make it in less than 50 minutes. Also I'm curious to see what an effect this workout will have on my running speed and endurance.
